Back to the Himalayas – Part II
Hello everybody,
While a few random things kept me busy I remembered I yet had to share day 3 and day 4 escapade with you guys. So I am back.
Day 3 & 4- Rafting your way through life
Both days were spent rafting. While day 3 was warming up…though the rafting stretch was about 12 kms, day 4 was more of extensive rafting. As some of you may know there are 6 levels of hardship…we were at level 3 plus :D …6 being suicidal!
It might be a contrasting analogy; the entire 20-25 odd km rafting was reminiscent to the ups and downs of life…the contrast being that in life we would avoid the rapids! However while rafting, each time we would be so eager and excited to go through a rapid and to come out victorious.
If only we could realize that life was no different. If we have the same excitement before each rapid [obstacle], we would not only come out victorious but also enjoy the entire process.
Oh and yes I witnessed something that would be mundane for the people staying there but was a spectacular site for me. This is the point of confluence where the Alakhnanda and Bhagirathi meet to form the vivacious and powerful ‘GANGES’.
So that was my back packing trip…my escape from the concrete jungle to the wilderness…!!!
Love,
